Production in the face of Excuses

I had a conversation yesterday, where someone that I usually feel inspired by their energy and assured by their perspective, that exposed the thinking of so many people right now. Times have changed in the last quarter with the lending market, real estate, and many in business. Wth this change comes the voices of naysayers and those that have lived in fear and envy for so long. Now we hear from these people as they say things like “I told you that wouldn’t work, it was just a matter of time, etc”.

In actuality one of the best things that has happened to so many people is this difficult time. Many wouldn’t choose it, but it separates those that talk the talk from those willing to walk the walk even when the road has bumps. I want to declare my commitment to producing value. I also commit to choose abundance even in the face of seeming scarcity. I recognize that there are unfulfilled expectations and disappointment. There may even be legitimite situations of lack of integrity, consumption beyond production, and especially lack of communication. Each situation brings its own story in some ways, but unfortunatly the myths and misinformation become formed with speculation and social agreement through fear based gossip.

For those that are having scarcity type of thoughts, I recommend you look internally, ask yourself what choice you can make in the moment and pay attention to your conversations. Are the conversations about creating value or complaining? Are they productive or really just t villify? When things go wrong, there is a cycle that begins by those that talk about what is wrong. Even in difficult times, there is always a choice in the moment. There is still Human Life Value and Soul Purpose. Some of the best things I have learned in life or the greatest breakthroughs happened when times or things were tough.

I have had some things happen in real estate, in business partnerships, and with my businesses this last month that I would not have expected, chosen, or necessarily wanted. But what I have found is that when these things happen I am given a choice in the moment. It is through these choices that I gain power and perspective. Even in the moment when it isn’t preferred, it many times is the very fuel of production and breakthrough. I even see it as a gift. When I am thankful for the events and experiences in my life, I maintain a life of abundance. To share something very personal, I have been writing a reality statement each week to grow during these times and continue to love my life:
Thank you for the blessing of this day, the perfection of this moment, the sacredness of this life. Allow me to see and live abundance. To express love. To choose wisely. Thank you for the gifts of experience, the perspective of Soul Purpose, and the enlightened life. Allow me to recognize the Godself and feed this abundance with attention and energy. When I am aware of my limitation I say- Remeber God, Choose Love, and Create Value. This transcends any fear, doubt, or worry. Love, Happiness, faith, and poweris who I am. I am a vehicle of your love. AMEN

So, today I woke up tired, but I created the space for amazing production, therefore I will produce. The principles apply in good times and bad. It is the bad times that allow us to learn and align. Where are you and what are you committed to? I am committed to my Soul Purpose and creating value, regardless of circumstance.

Dealing with Scarcity and Recognizing Abundance

Sometimes having so much opporutnity creates a dilemma. In my case I have not been the best steward over everything I am doing in some businesses and especially in some of my real estate portfolio. It is critical to determine what opportunities to move on and which opportunities take away from Soul Purpose or that are mostly rate of return driven. Rate of return is a great indicator, but not the only indicator. Many people that get excited about the Producer Paradigm begin to see the abundance of opportunity around them. One thing that I am unique in is creating ideas and brainstorming. That is a great gift and talent, but it is critical that it is communicated with purpose, timelines and is empowering to those implementing these ideas.

For the past few weeks I have been furiosly bringing new ideas to my team without leadership and a plan. Fortunately, this week I took those ideas through models I have created in the Mental FastTrack and it has brought about an opportunity for massive production. I will have to admit it isn’t as fun to create the accountability and timeline to these ideas/projects, but it takes them from merely a philosophy to productivity.

As I have had the number of things to deal with over the past two weeks scarcity entered my life on a regular basis. There were times where I even wanted to be a victim (which relinquishes my power by the way). Fortunatly my education is such that I have an awareness when this flawed thinking or the consumer conditions tugs at my thoughts. So, I will admit, I have been in scarcity several times in the last two weeks, but fortunately I was aware of it and therefore had the power to take action to cure the consumer condition.

As my stewardship increases, so does the number of breakdowns, issues, and liabilities. The great news is that I also have a new perspective and more power so I am able to handle these temporary pitfalls and turn them into meaningful lessons. I know there are no accidents and therefore can be thankful for any trial. In the past I would have wasted time wishing it didn’t happen or dream about life if it didn’t happen. Now I know those things are what allowed me to increase my stewardship and create more value in the world.

Another great thing is that my assets help me to recognize abundance and help me through any difficulty I face. These assets that I talk about are the people in my life that are in the Producer Paradigm. I am thankful for them and glad that I can be authentic enough to admit my shortcomings, yet have them know my genuis still. If you are ever pretending everything is great when it isn’t and don’t have anyone to talk with, go to the person you are most afraid to tell because you think so highly of them. If they are in abundance, they can see clearly and give you advice that the scarcity mind cannot see.

All progress begins with truth. I am willing to be transparent in my life to the public. This is who I am. Count on this, in the next month I will have one of the biggest breakthroughs in production I have ever experienced. This is a time of new growth. Discontent precedes growth.

Kim Butler Videocast

Last night we had an amazing forum. It began with Kim Butler talking about Consumer vs. Producer. She was authentic, powerful, and relatable. She talked about how her mom had always said to “Give a good time” vs. “Have a good time”. Give a good time is about producing and creating value rather than consumption first. She also talked about humility being crucial to staying in abundance and a characteristic of the Producer. An example of that would be to always be learning or to apologize when you find yourself reacting with scarcity that impacts another person.

She also discussed the concept of “we” vs. “you”. When having a conversation that requires a paradigm shift or principled action, it is more powerful to ask the question “what are we going to do about it”. Sometimes people shut down or feel alone if it is “what are you going to do about it”.

Next we had the study group portion of the forum led by Patrick Donahoe. We discussed how Soul Purpose is the true key to investing and that investing is powerful if it leads to and protects the abundance paradigm. Most people invest for rate of return alone, but the critical element is how the investment allows the individual to produce or the external returns related to that investment. Internal rate of return is what is talked about on TV, most radio, and in the newspapers and magazines, but it is least important. The Freedom FastTrack puts practical application and additional context to what I am talking about here.

We also discussed areas where we had scarcity or looked for something for nothing or even gambled from investing. People shared those experiences and what they had learned from them. It was an amazing event. If you would like to attend these in the future go to Freedom FastTrack.com.

Curriculum for Wealth

les-mcguire.pngToday I am in St. George, Utah presenting “Economic Certainty in Uncertain Times” with Mike Isom. This is the original symposium that was written by Les McGuire, my friend and business partner that died in a plane crash just over a year ago.

I had the opportunity to listen to the original recording of this presentation. It was great to hear Les’ voice and was amazing how two and a half years ago we began the CFW series. In the morning we will be discussing the foundational conversation of the two determinate paradigms. This is critical to understand before any strategy is mentioned because no amount of saving, discipline, luck, return or money will make any difference if someone is not in the Producer Paradigm.

As we go throughout the afternoon there is some crowd involvement to show the importance of free enterprise and exchange. We then dispel many of the myths that communistic financial planning promotes.

I always enjoy these events. Each one is different, but we consistently have amazing crowd interaction and participation. We have had people attend every symposium even though they make a seven figure income. It is almost like mental weightlifting–the more you do it and the more consistently you do it, the more powerful you become.

After the symposium we are then doing a Killing Sacred Cows book launch here in St. George. It is the same format as last week in Salt Lake: 100 dollars, five books, and a roundtable-type discussion with the authors. We will also give out a DVD that is a preview to the concepts in the book.

Well…..I was in a hotel, but did get my Producer Power Hour in today. I sent out some cards as part of my Social aspect. I read from “Getting in the Gap” by Dr. Wayne Dyer and meditated for both spiritual and mental. Today is my one day out of the week where I rest for physical–which I did with a great night’s sleep.

Once again, I look forward to today’s symposium and the unique experience each symposium brings. There are still two more symposiums being written to finish the series of 12. The two being written are “The Freedom FastTrack” (this is not the actual process, but it examines each pillar of Human Life Value in detail, plus we use a continuum to create specific ways to engage and increase each area of Human Life Value) and “The Producer Power Hour”. That means that we have already written and presented ten different symposiums. These happen monthly and will be video cast starting with the next symposium on July 27th called “The Rationale of Living an Unreasonably Abundant Life”!

Enjoy your day, and produce.

The Physical and Mental FastTrack

On the fourth of July I was celebrating with my family at our cabin. Early in the morning while most were still asleep I woke my brother-in-law Bobby up to go biking with me. I am participating in a sprint triathlon on July 14th at Echo Reservoir. This was an impossible game that I announced on the radio several weeks ago. The reason it was an impossible game for me- I DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO SWIM. Well, I didn’t own a road bike either.

With the right team and the right mindset I was able to complete the bike and run that morning with my personal best for time on both. It felt great and was a great start to my Producer Power Hour.

Just two weeks ago I bought a road bike with Aaron (a radio listener). Now I have all the gear- from tight shorts and awkward shirts, to the shoes that clip into the pedals. It has become fun and a real adventure for me. Not only is it great for the exercise portion of the Physical aspect of my Producer Power Hour, but it has stretched my mind and expanded possibilities for me mentally.

Overcoming the fear of swimming has forever changed my threshold for fear and even pain. I was willing to be uncomfortable and forget how I looked the first time in the pool in order to overcome most of my fears around swimming. It is amazing how facing a fear can actually increase it initially, but then in confronting the fear it creates a new sense of confidence through experience. Initially, I couldn’t swim but a few meters before I started to choke and have a sense of anxiety. Now, I will be swimming a half a mile without rest. It really is one thing to know of something and another to experience it. I knew something about swimming before I jumped in, but now I have a new perspective through experience. This new perspective is exciting and empowering. One of the best ways I have found to build confidence and excitement it to create the type of games that I am not sure how to accomplish at first glance. This triathlon was just that type of game.

The triathlon didn’t really become a real game until I was willing to step on the court. I had talked about an interest in doing a triathlon with friends and colleagues, but until I declared it with specific language on the radio, I was merely a spectator viewing something. When I have wanted to accomplish something I have always told many people that were in the abundance paradigm or that were what I would call a “Producer”. This allows a structure of accountability and an access to ideas and resources. Actually, one time I decided I wouldn’t cut my hair until I had reached a certain body fat percentage. When I would end up speaking in front of groups I found using the story as a place for humor and plus I wanted to have some credibility so I had to tell everyone why I was sporting a mullet. In doing this, a seminar participant told me of a health institute by the name of “Sanoviv“. Within a month I had planned a trip to “Sanoviv” and had accomplished in three months what I had been trying for 7 months before.

Using declaration is a key to progress and accountability, but only when declaring to the right people. Consumers and those in the scarcity mentality too often discourage people from doing anything extraordinary for fear of failure or that it might hold them to a higher standard. I have found that anything extraordinary is beyond the familiar and for many they would rather have life be predictable even if that is a life of misery (at least it is predictable misery).

Back to the biking and running. As I was on the last mile of my run, I noticed my mind started to become noisy with reasons and excuses why I didn’t have to endure the pain I was in. It was amazing once I began visualizing that each step become easier, it actually became easy. The realization I had was that my mind was more apt to fatigue before my body. When I am able to push myself physically I have noticed that it expands my mind in that moment, but also in all areas of my life.

My commitment to all that read this is that I am a free man. I live a life of excellence in all areas of my human life value- financially, spiritually, physically, mentally and socially.

If you would like to spend some time with any organizations that I am involved with here are some options: each Thursday night we have Producer Forums. You must have a sponser to attend, but there is no charge for the first hour. We have webcasting for the audio currently and we are closing in on video casting these. If you would like to find out more please contact Bradon Allen at ballen@freedomfasttrack.com. Ron Zeller will be speaking at the forum this next Thursday. He is an amazing example of bringing the impossible to possible. Ron has coached over 250,000 people and is coaching some of the most high-level producers I know as well as the largest corporations in the United States. Find out more by joining us next week. He is my co-host on Thursdays for the Mental FastTrack- a breakthrough in productivity through Quantuum Business Continuums (sound confusing? don’t worry, its not just listen from 9-10am on freedomfasttrack.com or on AM 630 if you live along the Wasatch Front.

I know this has been a bit long, but I want this web-site to be insight to what I am up to and the lessons I learn. As you read through the web-site and my posts, I hope you notice the authenticity of this site. For me to be completely at peace and have the happiness I want, transparency is critical. So…..as I have insights and breakthroughs in the 5 pillars of my Human Life Value know I will share them in this blog.
