The Power Hour, Capturing and Transferring Human Life Value

Last night was the first time in years that I was unable to sleep due to my mind being busy. Have you ever had that happen where you wake up and then the next thing you know your mind is busy thinking? I know that my Producer Power Hour has been less than ideal the last three days. Yesterday I did half of it during the night and Monday I didn’t do it at all. It is rare for me to skip any portion of my Power Hour and last night was a good reminder why.

So here I am on very little sleep getting started at 5am. Now is the time to fully commit because it would be easy to have an excuse to just get some sleep. I know that through my meditation I will be able to make up for some of that lost sleep plus I love what I do so my energy will come through my passion and activity in the day.

On to another aspect of the Producer Power Hour. One of the tracks of human life value is Mental. An amazing way to cultivate mental capacity is to journal and then review the journal on a regular basis. For me, journaling is not something where I write paragraphs of my feelings or even full sentences for that matter. I enjoy capturing ideas, thoughts, phrases, quotes, or anything captivating enough to grab my attention. Now, I am not saying this is the way to journal or that it is right, I am merely saying that it is how I do it.

By journaling I have been able to document some of my greatest breakthroughs, capture my creativity in the moment, readdress notes from workshops or symposiums, and essential capture the models and many of the principles behind the Freedom FastTrack. Many times when I write down an idea, I leave space in my journal and then spend time expanding it and asking “How can I take this to a level where it can create value for a large number of people?”.

During my Producer Power Hour I can then review the journal and write more in the peace of the morning.

Are you capturing your ideas?

I noticed that the reason that we know so much about the founding fathers of this country is because they journaled. How much value have the books written on these extraordinary individuals impacted the world? The lesson here is to journal so your legacy can live on in another medium and also to capitalize on what you are thinking today. It is a way to capture Human Life Value and then to transfer it to future generations.

Are you part of the journal revolution?

I’ve had those nights too where I wake up at around 2:30 and my mind is just going crazy. I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog and although I’ve had dinner over at your house I really don’t know all that much about you, but from what I’ve read it’s good to know you better.

If you ever have one of those nights again and want to just fall back asleep try moving your eyes from left to right and back slowly a couple times. This is a mind swipe that normally stops the crazy brain.
